The courses listed below will meet the current prerequisite course requirements for admission into the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Cleveland Chiropractic College.This information is based upon the 1998-2000 University of Houston Course Catalog and is subject to change.
Biology – 2 courses/two semesters (a minimum of 6 semester hours with labs)
Choose from:
Biol 1361/1161 Intro to Biological Science
Biol 1362/1162 Intro to Biological Science
Biol 2133/2333 Microbiology
Biol 3324/3124 Human Physiology
General/Inorganic Chemistry – a full year (minimum of 6 semester hours with labs)
Chem 1331/1111 Fundamentals of Chemistry-required
Chem 1332/1112 Fundamentals of Chemistry-required
Organic Chemistry – a full year (minimum of 6 semester hours with labs)
Chem 3331/3221- Organic Chemistry I
Chem 3332/3222-Organic Chemistry II*this sequence is highly recommended, however you can also complete this sequence:

Physics & related studies (6 semester hours)– 2 unduplicated physics courses, with at least one lab OR 3 hours of physics with lab and 3 hours of either biomechanics, kinesiology, stats or exercise physiology

General Studies
English/Communications – 6 semester hours with at least 3 hours in English composition

College Algebra – 3 semester hours; only required for those intending to complete the Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree
