It is the policy of Cleveland Chiropractic College to select the most promising candidates for admission.

Students may pursue an Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences or a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree. The B.S. degree may be earned independently or concurrently with the Doctor of Chiropractic degree. This degree program offers many of its courses in accelerated, eight-week modules. Therefore, it is strongly suggested that a pre-college curriculum in the following subjects be completed:
Subject Unit Suggested Courses
English 4 One unit of English for every year of high school
Natural Science 3 Biology, advanced biology, chemistry, physics, physical/earth science
Math 3 algebra, geometry, advanced algebra
Social Science 3 U.S. history, U.S. government, psychology, world history, economics, sociology

The admission components include:

  • An official high school or GED transcript with a minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale or a passing score. The high school transcript must indicate a date of graduation. However, students with a minimum gpa of 2.00 to 2.49 may be considered for a conditional acceptance for 1 semester or 2 modules. An official certification of the California High School Proficiency Examination will also satisfy this requirement.
  • Official ACT composite test score of 21 or above OR an Official SAT composite test score of 990 or above(The KC campus ACT code is 6545 The LA campus ACT code is 6544)

Home-schooled high school graduates must submit the items listed above. However, Cleveland Chiropractic College also recognizes certification or verification from an accredited or appropriate home-school agency as high school equivalency.

The high school GPA requirement and ACT/SAT scores may be waived if the applicant has at least 24 post-secondary semester units from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum gpa of 2.0. Applicants may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Admissions Committee if their ACT or SAT scores do not meet the minimum required scores.

Placement exams may be required and introductory courses are offered for students who may not have met lower division science prerequisites and/or not passed the placement exams.

All prospective students are encouraged to speak with academic advisors for course planning, as well as to be informed on any changes in the requirements.
