Salut! My name is
Jonathan Smith, and I am currently working as an admissions advisor at
Cleveland Chiropractic College in
Los Angeles.
My passion for music and film is equaled only by my desire to facilitate higher education. In some capacity, all of these eclectic elements brought me to
West Hollywood in August of 2007.
I’m getting ahead of myself. In May 2003, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in English with an Abnormal Psychology minor at
Allegheny College in small-town
Pennsylvania. I accepted a role at Federal Express in
Baltimore, Md., but my love for higher education and the grand dialogue between teachers and students prompted me to return to
Pennsylvania to pursue a Master of Arts in Education. While working to finish my degree, I taught Freshman Composition and Literature. Upon the completion of the program in August 2006, I relocated to
Pittsburgh, Pa. where I worked as an Assistant Director of Admissions at the Art Institute Online, a division of the Art Institute of
Pittsburgh. In college admissions, I discovered a unique opportunity to fuse my business savvy and passion for education. In August of 2007, I moved to
West Hollywood, where I worked to redevelop graphic design curriculum at
Los Angeles College. Finding not-for-profit education a bit more palatable than the career-college environment, I accepted a position here, which more effectively allows me to assist students like you in realizing your dreams.
