Congratulations in taking the first step toward your educational goals at CCCKC. As the Assistant Director of Admissions, I am here to help you through the admissions process and to evaluate your transcripts in order to ensure your transition is as smooth as possible. In addition to my assistant directory duties, I also advise all prospective international students. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures, foods and places around the world. One of my favorite pastimes in the Kansas City area is going to the
Kansas City Zoo. Our local zoo is actually designed to mimic all of the continents where you can visit each and discover the animals native to each respective continent. Be prepared to get some exercise — it’s a long walk around the globe! If you have any questions regarding admissions, transcripts or other issues, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you on campus!

Jackie Akerson
Hello, my name is Jackie Akerson and I am a regional admissions advisor for Cleveland Chiropractic College. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. degree in Organizational Communications in May 2004 and I joined the admissions team at Cleveland in September 2004. After three years with CCC, my husband and I decided to move to Lincoln, Neb., where I continue to work for the College. This gives me an even better opportunity to meet with prospective students and travel to the states in my territory. In my opinion, the Kansas City metropolitan area is a great place to live and chiropractic is a wonderful career choice. If you have any questions about the programs we offer or if you’d like to set up a campus visit, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (913) 234-0743. Oh, and make sure to check out the
Town Center Plaza when you are here. There are some neat shops and so many great places to eat! Good luck with your future in chiropractic.

Welcome! As an admissions advisor, I am here to help you through the application process and answer any questions. I also travel to specific states giving presentations, attending career or graduate fairs and meeting with prospective students. Being a part of the Admissions Department since 2005, I have grown to know Cleveland Chiropractic College and the city it calls home. Since the College relocated to its new suburban campus, I have again fallen in love with the Kansas City way of life. The architecture of its buildings, its outdoor shopping areas, parks, unlimited restaurants and sport teams really define what life is like here. One of my favorite places is the
Country Club Plaza. It carries a lot of history, yet remains a hot spot for daytime shopping and evenings out on the town. I believe the Plaza is a "must visit" when you are in the area. Contact me soon to schedule a visit to see our beautiful campus and make sure to save extra time to discover our city!

If you are interested in pursuing your education in an environment founded in knowledge and expertise, you have come to the right place. Being a small-town girl, I also appreciate the close-knit, caring atmosphere at this renowned College. After growing up in the Dakotas, I was awarded a B.A. degree from the University of South Dakota in Integrated Marketing and German. My role at Cleveland Chiropractic College is to set each student up for success in becoming a doctor of chiropractic and to take full advantage of the multitude of educational opportunities offered here. I do not shy away from the opportunity to have fun, and one of my favorite places in the area is the newly completed Legends at Village West shopping center in nearby Kansas City, Kan., where you can dine, shop and even experience an audio walking tour of more than 80 Kansas legends. Visit
Legendsshopping.com for more information.
